I just got back from
I just got back from a 3 day moto camping trip. This helmet was a great choice for me and was great when seeing different lighting and weather. It darkened up in direct sunlight and lightened up in darker conditions. I am very happy with my purchase.

Bell MX 9 Dlx
So I have worn a Fly Trekker helmet for many years. Long enough to wear out several faceshields and it has survived a few light crashes to the ground as my KLR650 may choose to take a dirt nap at the worst possible moment, lol. As the color has been chipped and faded I began to search for a new hat. I started at a couple of my local motorcycle dealerships. As I wear prescription glasses that seemed to narrow the choices down to just a few. I actually also checked the classifieds from some prominent local and nationwide media outlets. My search ended yesterday with an individual that had a MX 9 Dlx. I had gone by a dealership beforehand to compare their prices and watched many videos from individuals on utube. So I ended up purchasing the Dlx MX 9 from an individual who had been involved in a crash last year. He said that he had only worn the hat twice and while he liked the style, his glasses wouldn't work because the size was a tad too small. (3xlarge) However it fit my head great and my glasses fit snug without piercing my ears around the frames. I went out and rode the interstate for 40 miles and the drag affect was far less than my former Fly helmet. I really enjoyed the progressive tint on the faceshield. After my ride I was wondering how I had done without that feature for all of these years. My current Sena Bluetooth has been underwater recently so I am entertaining purchasing another one soon. Recommendations from the manufacturer are appreciated. Overall I am very pleased with the helmet. Perhaps the best news is that I only paid $120 dollars for it, at the right place at the right time. Looking forward to getting some miles on it to review again. 😀

It an excellant helmet for the cost It fits my big round head perfectly with even with speakers installed. it's lighter than the Shoei and Atai, a bit noisy, but removing the shade lessons the sound a lot. Has good ventilation, and excellant field of view. It proved its value when I totalled my 22 CB500X on dirt/gravel road in stealth puddle that was a pit covered with 3 inches of clay water over 25 inches of soft clay. I went over the front of the bike with my helmet taking the windscreen and GPS with me as I flipped onto my back. The visor was down, clay water filled the helmet, a moment of anxiety until I raised to let the water out. Surprisingly the helmet was not damaged. We removed and cleaned the liners and washed out the interior and exterior of the helmet, and it cleaned up nicely .

Short of Expectations
Good value for fit and MIPS protection but finish on visor is peeling away and mouthpiece vent broke after only a few days of use. Falls far short of expectations for quality even at the moderate price point.
