The Bullitt GT is far
The Bullitt GT is far far far more comfortable and quality feeling than the original Bullitt. Sadly, the whistle is about the same but there is far less wind that gets into the helmet. I just wish the original Bullitt shields fit as i have 5 or 6 or them. Hopefully, soon , Bell will start selling shields for the GT.

Very comfortable. Maybe get a size larger than you normally do. I'd get another. Looks fantastic on the bike too.

Improved fit as well as beneficial upgrades over the original Bullitt.
The round oval shape and improved liner of the new Bullitt GT makes this helmet's fit one of the most comfortable I have ever put on my head in 40 years of riding. With a round-oval head shape and hat size of 7 3/8, the GT is about as perfect of a fitting helmet as I have ever put on. The fit and shell size reminds me of the dealer employee only, Eddy Lawson Replica, Bell M2 that I wore back in the mid eighties. Damn I loved that helmet. Unlike the original Bullitt which I also own and love, the GT's new shield system has a detent allowing the shield to be opened part way when needed or desired. The new gasket around the shield opening seals things up very well. It is on par with the more expensive Star line. A definite upgrade over the previous Bullitt version where I felt a need to install a thin gasket myself to seal things up. The new system of attaching the shield may get easier over time. But on my new GT I currently find it cumbersome and awkward when attempting to remove and reinstall the fastening disks. The shield has to be held in an exact position. The fastening disks have to be slid on in an exact position. I find that the release button on the disks when new can be a little difficult to depress as I attempt to slide the disk off. To this point it seems that changing the shield is one of those "need a third hand" kind of things, to line everything up right. This could be a result of the helmet being new. Things might need time to break in a little before the process becomes a little easier. But I have to say that it actually took me three times longer to remove and reinstall my shield on the GT the first time, than on my old model Bullitt with it's basic screw on system. The cut outs on the helmet's interior for glasses allows my glasses to slide in perfectly with the nose piece of the glasses resting exactly where it should. I find it so comfortable that I probably will stick with a clear shield as opposed to a dark shield and just wear my sunglasses. Unless Bell releases a photochromic shield similar to others that can be purchased for other helmets Such as the Star. NOTE: OLD STYLE BULLITT SHIELDS DO NOT FIT THE NEW GT!!! In my opinion, the pockets for helmet speakers would have been better if foam inserts where also provided to be installed if speakers aren't used. These pockets have the hard Styrofoam helmet liner along side the ear which without speakers installed amplifies wind noise slightly. Think of the difference between talking in an empty room with all hard surfaces, as opposed to a room filled with sound dampening furnishings. I have cut small, 3/8 inch thick, dense EVA foam disks and put them in the speaker cut outs and this has improved things greatly and made the helmet significantly quieter. Finally, the "Command Matte Black/White" helmet that I purchased appears in the product image to have a black molding around the bottom of the helmet. Matching the shield's gasket in color. Which makes sense on this version of the helmet because the helmet's main color is matte black. But on the helmet I received, that molding is chrome silver. This is not a big issue for me personally as my bike has a good deal of chrome. But I would have preferred that molding to be black as it appears in the product images. All in all, small issues aside, I find the new GT in fit, form, function and finish to be a genuine upgrade over the previous model which due to it's basic nature was already one of my favorite helmets all time. It may not be the helmet one wants for those long rides. But for boulevard cruising and day with the boys trips, there isn't another helmet I would want atop of my head. Not to mention the fact that the slightly metal-flaked matte black coloring with white and red stripes of the "Command Matte Black/White" version of the GT point blank, bad %$#@! ass! Seriously, this helmet's look stirs up the same feelings in your gut when looking at it that your bike itself does. . . Great job Bell!

Cheek pad size discrepancy
According to the size chart the XL should come with 35mm cheek pads, what was delivered this afternoon came with 45mm cheek pads installed. 10mm difference is enough to make it wildly uncomfortable. It will either sit on a shelf collecting dust, or I’ll give it to someone without a jawline. Very disappointing.
