Julien Vanstippen (born July 23, 1995) is a Belgian Freestyle Motocross rider and the 2022 King of the Whip. Riding a KTM 450 SF-X, VanStippen’s 2022 season had gained momentum. He made his X Games debut in Japan in April, taking home the bronze medal, only to go on and win the X Games Best Whip gold medal in November. He also came in third place in the prestigious Red Bull Imagination 2022 event and went on to be crowned the 2022 FMX Champion. Relatively new to the sport, VanStippen actually began his career as a Motocross racer in 2010 and was quickly considered one of the fastest two-wheel racers in Belgium. Between 2010 and 2015, he took home second place in the Belgium Championships, won the Joel Robert Trophy, and won the Future Cup.
In 2016, VanStippen decided to swap the dirt for the skies when he took up FMX as his main sport. Since then, VanStippen’s talent and style have allowed him to participate in the biggest events of the international FMX scene. Riding in the FMX4EVER shows, the Red Bull X-Jam tour, and others prepared VanStippen for the success he’s seeing now.
